With SCHENKER parcel
you can send parcels
within Sweden
– quickly and simply. All you need to do is to fill in a
parcel note
that you order from us. We take care of the rest.
Below is the basic information about domestic consignments.
Weight
The maximum weight is 30 kg/item, with a maximum of 99 kg per
consignment.
Volume
The maximum volume per consignment is 0.4 m3 (1 m3 = 280
kg).
Dimensions per item
The maximum length/item is 1.5 m. Length + circumference,
maximum 2 m.
Bulky items

Multi-item consignment
If any item in the consignment is a bulky item, the whole
consignment is priced as a bulky consignment.
Freight calculation
Zone pricing applies
(see price list). For multi-item
consignments, the minimum chargeable weight is 20 kg. Item surcharges are
payable from the sixth item.
Timetable
The timetable includes the busiest locations and current
transport times in Sweden. The timetable is available Here
Collection
SCHENKERparcel is collected as agreed (fixed
collection). Once entered, parcels are collected on the next collection day. If
there are less than five consignments on any one occasion a collection charge is
payable (unless other SCHENKERsystem goods are collected at the
same time).
Distribution
The consignments are distributed to the stipulated delivery
address according to the timetable. The consignee must be available during
normal working hours, weekdays 7 am – 4 pm. If this is not the case, we offer
the following options:
1. Consignments can be collected from our terminal by
agreement.
2. Consignments can be delivered by agreement on payment of an
extra charge.
Sparsely populated areas
Distribution to sparsely populated areas is undertaken
principally via agents in the nearest large town where parcels can be collected.
The consignee is notified by post. If distribution to a specified delivery
address is required, an extra distribution charge is payable.
Transport documents
The procedure for filling in the parcel note and the STE label
is shown Here
. See also the brochure "Instructions for transport documents".
Uncollected parcels
Uncollected parcels are returned to the consignor at the
freight-payer’s expense 15 days after arrival at the receiving terminal. A
storage charge may be applicable.
Private persons
Parcels to private private persons are distributed according
to ""Home delivery"
"
Supplementary conditions
All goods must be packed in such a way that they can withstand
normal machine sorting. Fragile goods, liquids and paint should be packed in
packaging approved by Packforsk (the Swedish Institute for Packaging and
Logistics) and marked "Fragile goods". Vessels containing liquids should also be
placed in an appropriate absorbent material.
The following goods cannot be transported as Parcel:
Dangerous goods, weapons and ammunition, valuables, alcohol, tobacco products,
live plants and live or dead animals, heated transport, refrigerated and frozen
goods. For exceptions, see 1.1.14 in ’’Terms and Conditions of Carriage’’.
Liability regulations and terms and conditions of carriage
All transport is performed according to the latest edition of
Schenker’s "Terms and Conditions of Carriage" and "Liability regulations", based
on the "General Conditions of the Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders" (NSAB
2000).
In the case of domestic parcel consignments, Schenker assumes
expanded liability in the event of damage or loss on presentation of confirmed
value of goods, although subject to a limit of SEK 50,000 per delivery. The term
‘delivery’ refers to transport from one or several consignors to the same
consignee on the same occasion.
