Foreign parcels

Sending parcels abroad is just as easy as it is within Sweden. Schenker has a very extensive network in Europe, offering smooth, secure transport for you and your customers.

The specific conditions that apply to foreign consignments are shown below. Otherwise, the same conditions apply as for SCHENKERparcel domestic, see pages 4-5.

Dimensions per item

The maximum length for foreign parcels is 2 m. Length +

circumference, maximum 3 m.

In the case of larger items, please contact your nearest Schenker

office.

Freight calculation

Zone pricing is applied to single and bulk consignments (see price list on the next page).

Timetable

The timetable shows the Europe countries in which we operate

(see timetable on the next page).

For distribution of larger consignments and consignments

to countries other than those in the timetable, the following

applies:

– within Europe, distribution is via Schenker’s national networks

– outside Europe, distribution is via Schenker’s Sea & Air global

network.

Distribution

We reach your consignees according to a fixed timetable (see zones and transport times in the timetable on the next page). The transport times apply from Swedish postcode areas 100 00-619 99 and 630 00-799 99.

From other postcode areas, an extra transport day is required.

Exceptions

Transport to Svalbard or Jan Mayen in Norway, the Canary Islands and Madeira is not available. For transport to vessels and exhibitions within Europe, please contact Schenker’s Air & Sea division.

Countries outside the EU

In the case of transport to a third country, as well as to Åland, Greece and Cyprus, a commercial invoice is to be issued in duplicate.

If the value of the consignment is less than €6,000 (approx. SEK 55,000) the export declaration can be made in the commercial invoice. In the case of a higher consignment value, an EUR1 certificate is used. The value of the commercial invoice cannot be zero (0). A statistical number and the value of the goods must be shown.

Consignments to a third country can only be sent as Parcel according to procedure code 1000, which means regular export.

For consignments to third countries (Norway and Switzerland), Schenker reserves the right, based on §10 and §11 in NSAB 2000, to charge the Swedish consignor for customs and value added tax if these are not paid by the consignee.

If details or documents required by the customs authorities are missing, the consignment is retained until the information is complete. A double customs clearance charge is payable.

Liability and Terms and Conditions of Carriage

The rules in the CMR convention apply to foreign parcel

consignments, which means a maximum of SDR 8.33 per kilo (equivalent to approximately SEK 110/kg)) for damaged or lost parcels.

Transport document

The procedure for filling in the parcel note and the STE label is shown on page 10. See also the brochure "Instructions for transport documents".

Stamping of EUR certificate SEK 250

Customs clearance: Norway SEK 160

Switzerland SEK 275

Bulk (a separate agreement must be signed) Bulk covers the collective volume of at least 20 consignments per loading day to those countries shown in the table on the next page, Zone allocation in Europe.

For the Scandinavian countries Denmark, Finland and Norway, the figure is at least 10 consignments per loading day for each country.

In the case of fewer consignments per day, the charges are in accordance with the normal price list for Parcel foreign.

Consignments are to be pre-sorted according to area by the consignor and sent in a sealed unit, parcel cage or on a plastic-wrapped pallet, labelled with the relevant distribution area. The labelling card can be ordered from your Schenker office.

A full "Distribution list" containing complete delivery details for each consignment is to be enclosed for each distribution area.

COD

COD is only applicable to transport within Sweden. If there is delivery information relating to COD on the parcel note/ transport document, this is not considered to be an instruction to apply COD in cases where the consignee is outside Sweden.

Extra goods insurance

For valuable goods, extra goods insurance ought to be taken out to complement the CMR compensation and can be arranged through Schenker. This can be ordered when you book your transport.

Private persons

Consignments to private persons are not possible.
